Quarterly Blog Post- Today!

Today was a holiday in every sense of the word.  Not only did my husband look super attractive in his "church" clothes, but we got to see both sides of our family and the weather was lovely.  Easter has always been hit or miss weather wise.  Today was a hit!  And after two fantastic meals with each of our families, a short drive from Lincoln to Omaha and an Easter egg hunt for my cousin's kids, we decided the weather and location were perfect for kite flying.  Of course my brother had a kite on hand and I just wanted to say, watching he and the kids fly it was a really nice feeling on a really nice day.

Sun shining and surrounded by friends and family is exactly how I love to spend my time.  It also occurred to me that today was the last major holiday that Ryan and I will share as a family of two instead of a family of three or more.  Very bitter sweet.  Oh how I love my husband and our special time together just the two of us, but I am definitely excited to bring a little person into our great extended families and have her experience things like kite flying on a beautiful Spring afternoon.

Life just felt so right today.
My super swollen pregnancy feet on the other hand... soooo wrong.

Still.  Thank the Lord for days like today.

Cheers to happiness!
